Bullied Girl’s Dad Writes An Inspiring Bullying Prevention And Autism Awareness Song

Raising children is and will always be a tough job to do. One needs to work to be able to provide the material needs that his and/or her child needs. But aside from that, parents wanted to make sure their children are safe at all times, away from any type of danger, and that they feel that they are loved. If they hear that their child is hurting at some point, their reaction may reach to the most hysterical one.

This Oakland, California dad found out that her girl was being picked on at school. Then he did something most people would not ever think of doing. He was asked about his initial reaction after hearing that his daughter was being bullied, he then shared with People magazine:
“A parent’s first reaction, of course, is anger, but instead, I said, ‘You’re beautiful Nia.’ ”

Khari Toure was undeniably a very calm dad. Instead vocally and physically reacting against his daughter’s bullies, he got up and wrote a song to make other people aware of the bullying that has been way too evident in the society for the past years up to present. Statistics show that in America only, 25 percent of children have admitted having been bullied, and about 75 percent said that they have seen and witnessed someone getting picked on. This statistics shows us that there is still a little awareness on the society’s part about this rising problem.

Alongside the bullying awareness, a verse of the song also tackled about autism awareness. This guy surely redefined how these two delicate topics should be viewed now. Aside from letting the people know how painful being bullied and being autistic as being different from others, he also let a statement empower bullied young people all around the world. In the video, some featured children showed a cardboard with words “I CAN DO ANYTHING” written in it.
Khari concluded her shared thought to People magazine, saying:
“I just wanted to create a video for children who have been bullied so that they can feel empowered.”

Khari surely made the right thing. Instead of bullying the one who bullied his daughter, he made something long term for her and for many young ones out there who are struggling with bullying. God loves you and indeed, you can do anything!
