We all know Kelly Clarkson who was crowned the very first and the original American Idol. Fifteen long years after her win on American Idol, she is back to give back what she learned. And that made her a part of the fourteenth season of The Voice. Everyone was surprised by her announcement, but many, if not all, viewers have welcomed her like she was a huge part of the family already. She then joined coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Completing the four was Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Alicia Keys. Together, they have made a very good relationship, thus making the show a lot lighter in vibe.
Making it to the top four of this season were Kyla Jade and Spensha Baker of Team Blake, Britton Buchanan of Team Alicia, and the youngest one to make it to top four, from all The Voice seasons, 15-year-old Brynn Cartelli from Team Kelly. It was apparent to the whole of America that all of them had an equal chance of winning.
On The Voice live finale, the 15-year-old singer performed a cover of Adele’s “Skyfall” which she did so amazingly and excellently. She also performed with her proud coach, Kelly, singing Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over”. After a night of hosting and performing at The Billboard Music Awards 2018, Coach Kelly showed everyone how versatile of a singer she is. Together, Coach Kelly and Brynn did an excellent rendition of the song. And lastly, Brynn performed her original song called “Walk my way”. It was written by American singer and songwriter Julia Michaels, together with American musician, songwriter, and activist, Justin Tranter.
And before the winner of The Voice was announced, Brynn got a chance to have a duet performance with her idol Julia Michaels, singing a medley of the singer’s songs, “Issues” and “Jump”. The two of them slayed and made musical queens out of themselves! And America’s voice has been heard. America’s season 14 The Voice winner is Brynn Cartelli from Team Kelly Clarkson (KC), making her the youngest contestant to make it to top 4, and the youngest to win the show. Spensha went fourth, followed by Kyla who went third, and this season’s runner-up was Britton. The four of them sure gave a nice competition.
Coach Kelly was over the moon! She is indeed the queen of reality singing contests. Kudos to all of them! Kudos to Coach Kelly and Brynn Cartelli! Watch The Voice announcement here:
