It is most families’ tradition to prepare for special treats for a loved one’s birthday party. It is just a once-a-year event, and it means that celebrant is the most special on that very day. So many parents do always save for their children’s birthday parties. It does not matter actually if it a simple or a much complicated and expensive one, but surely they will prepare for that very special day.
On Madison’s birthday, her mom felt obliged to buy her a beautiful birthday cake just like how she always did every year. But something really odd had happened on Madison’s 11th birthday. The moment her mom arrived at the bakeshop, she was informed that her daughter’s cake has already been paid for. Initially, Madison’s mom became heartbroken for she saved her money for the very special birthday cake. But after knowing the reason behind, she could not be any less heartbroken.
Apparently, it has been paid for by McKenna’s mom. McKenna has passed away on a tragic accident when she was a baby. McKenna’s mom left a note, saying:
“Dear Birthday Girl Family,
In honor of my daughter’s 10th birthday I have chosen your birthday cake to pay for. Each year I do this random act of kindness because I am unable to buy my daughter a cake of her own. Today is her big double digit birthday.
Please enjoy your day.”
Madison’s family was so grateful for the strange woman’s genuine care for her child and for other kids out there. Actually, Madison’s brother has posted the story on Twitter and it has been viral since!
Along with the cake and the note, McKenna’s mom left a “Kindness card” from MISS Foundation. The said foundation was an international nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of grieving families. Written on the card was:
“This Random Act of Kindness. . . Done in loving memory of ‘MBug’ McKenna Jodell 12/27/07 – 9/27/08.”
This has been the moment for Madison’s family and everyone who read the Tweet that we should all be thankful for everything that we have.
