The Voice is a reality singing show that aims to produce powerful vocalists. Over the years, it has been made more popular by the adaptation of many different countries, thus adapting the whole type of the show. No matter what country it gets, it will always remain viral. Perhaps it is because of its very unique mechanics, not seeing the one who is singing during the auditions. If they got that “something” as a singer, then the judges, or more commonly known as the coaches will turn for them. It takes just “the voice” to get in.
With all the auditions all over the world, this particular auditionee from Portugal’s adaptation of The Voice made quite an impact because of her choice of song. While almost everybody performs pop, rock, or the combination of the two, this particular young woman hit ballad on an entirely new level. Apparently, Soraia Tavares has chosen “I dreamed a dream” as her official audition song. While almost everyone knew that the classic song was first heard through the character Fantine in a famous musical, Les Miserables, we still could not hide the fact that not all singer would want to sing the famous classic; and not all singers can pull it off that easily.
Knowing that it was an audition, Soraia did her best to impress the judges. She did not just sing it well technically, she also did sing it well wholeheartedly. With her voice that was so angelic, it was not at all surprising that three out of four coaches have turned for her, making her way to the battle rounds.
